Friday Facts

1. Working a split shift, of a total of 8 hours, is not very fun. Lesson learned to not always say yes to everything. I might have a little problem with that…

2. On the bright side, each time I work, I’m contributing money to my shopping fund ;) Layna and I have a few shopping trips planned for when school is out, and I am more then ready. I honestly haven’t gone on a “big” shopping trip since the summer before my senior year. Yeah, almost two years ago…

3. Someone come run 9 miles with me tomorrow?? Since I have to work at 10am, there’s just no way that’s happenin’ before work. My plan is to run it in the afternoon, maybe at the local park since it’s supposed to be sunny and in the 60s. Sounds like perfect running weather to me :)

4. I want to see the Hunger Games again.

5. Only one more week (+ one day) until I can eat dessert again. To tell you the truth, it really hasn’t been that difficult. Sure I miss the occasional fro yo and handful of M&Ms, but these 5 weeks have gone by much faster then I expected. When I can eat dessert again, I’m still going to limit myself (I’m thinking only on weekends and special occasions), because now I know I can go without it and be just fine ;)

6. I’m hoping this next week sorta flies by. Everyone at work requested it off because of their spring breaks, so I have a ton of shifts. That just means more money…at least that’s what I’m telling myself ;)

7. I took a body toning class at my gym last night for the first time in about 7 months. The burn hurt so good ;) I will definitely be making it part of my workout routine. I wanna be toned this summer ;)

8. If you didn’t see it yesterday, you should definitely watch T. Swift get punk’d by Justin Bieber. It was pretty funny to watch :)

9. I’m a little scared that I won’t be running first thing tomorrow. I have this fear that I’m going to back out or be too tired in the afternoon. I’ve told myself that if that does happen I can just make tomorrow another rest day and run Sunday. Deep down I know I just want to get it done tomorrow so I don’t have to have it hanging over my head the rest of the weekend ;) We shall see I guess…

10. Have a great Friday/Saturday, depending on when you read this :)

WIAW: Number 24

Happy Wednesday :) I had to work all morning/afternoon today so this is getting posted later then usual, but better late then never ;) Heres to a another edition of What I Ate Wednesday!

Breakfast

whole wheat bagel topped with peanut butter and jelly

Lunch

spinach nuggets, sweet potato wedges, and kale chips

Snack

tall soy misto and a clif crunch bar

Dinner

quinoa with butternut squash and kale, with an orange on the side

I’m a little ashamed to admit it, but another trip to Starbucks happened. I didn’t snap a picture, but I’m pretty sure you’re sick of seeing those ;)

Snack

panda puffs with almond milk

I got another box of panda puffs the other day, and they are so addicting! They taste like peanut butter captain crunch/reese’s puffs. Sooo good :)

Have a great rest of your day<3

Peace and Love,

Molly

Half Marathon Training: Week Six

Halfway through already?? I can’t believe it. I can say that I feel like I’m improving every week and I think I will be ready to tackle those 13.1 miles in 6 week ;) (at least I hope so!). On to week six:

Half Marathon Week Six

(bold is the original plan & in italics is what I added and/or did)

Sun: rest

Mon: 4 miles (on the elliptical+ TIU abs)

Tues: cross-training (kickboxing+1 mile)

Wed: 5 miles (ran 4 miles)

Thurs: cross-training (TIU beach ball and best ab workouts)

Fri: restΒ

Sat: 8 miles

Overall thoughts:

On Monday I was planning on running 4 miles like the plan called for, but once I started running on the treadmill, I knew there was no way that was going to happen. I was still sore from Saturday’s long run, so the elliptical saved my burning calves ;). On Tuesday I got to kickboxing a little early so I decided to run to kill time. I did one mile, that way on Wednesday I’d only have to do four ;) Saturday’s run actually wasn’t too bad. I was a little scared when I started it, not knowing how I’d feel, but overall it went fairly well. Only 5.1 more miles to add on ;)

Have a great Monday<3

Peace and Love,

Molly
