School School School

I mentioned yesterday that I’d fill you all in on what classes I’m taking this semester and how my major’s going. So far, I’m still loving my major (fitness management & personal training). I haven’t taken too many classes directly for my major just yet, but did learn a lot about some of the classes I’d be taking in my exercise science class that I took last semester.

Last semester I took nine credit hours, and this semester I decided to up that a little and eventually decided on thirteen (coincidence for the new year?). I wanted to take fifteen, but with still working two jobs and the commute to one job and school, I realized it would just be too much (and the insane amount of gas I’d be going through).

So this is what my schedule looks like for this semester:

Stress Prevention & Management

Introduction to Psychology

Interpersonal Communications

Statistics and Society

Yoga(!)

The first four classes are all required for my major, and yoga is just a one-credit hour class that I decided to take for fun. We actually have a textbook for the class and have quizzes, but the teacher seems very laid back and basically told us they’re no big deal.

As far as my other classes go, they all went pretty well this week. I think I like Stress Prevention & Management the best. The teacher is super calm (just like my yoga instructor) and basically the class’ purpose is to give us tips on how to reduce stress. Pretty cool.

Comm is the one class that scares me a little. I’m not a huge fan of public speaking, but at the same time, it doesn’t freak me out too much like I know it does for some people. My professor is quite the character, so I think he’ll make the class interesting.

I’ve officially made it through my first week of classes and ended up with only a few minor homework assignments. One week down, fourteen(ish) to go ;)

Peace and Love,

Molly

  1. What a fun schedule! I wish my school had a major like that! We only have the boring standard ones. Don’t be scared about the communications class though. You’re going to be SO grateful you took it!
