Five for Friday

1. Now that I’ve registered for my fourth half marathon, and will begin training in a month or so, I’ve really been trying to work on my speed. To be honest, I never really tried to get faster last year. I was mainly just focused on gaining endurance. This year I’d really like to shave some time off of my race times, and maaaaaaybe PR. I have some goals in mind, but I’m a very superstitious person so you’ll have to wait to hear about them ;)

2. I made dinner for my parents and myself last night and I’m thinking I need to have the leftovers for lunch today. I made Jenna’s white bean chili (minus the chicken) and Courtney’s cheesy bread. Seriously so good. I kept going back for more bread. What can I say, I love carbs.get-attachment.aspx

3. Sisters think alike. Emily wrote on her blog today that she was craving ice cream last night, and I could not stop thinking about it after dinner either. Sadly we didn’t have any in our freezer so I made this cookie instead. It helped satisfy my craving :) For now…

4. My breakfast this morning tasted like dessert. I’m not complaining.get-attachment.aspx

oats cooked this way, topped with peanut butter, chocolate chips, and Love Grown granola

5. I’m thinking ‘This Life Is Sparkling’ needs a makeover. I’ve had the same blog design for quite a while now, and I’m beginning to get sick of it. I’m also thinking about becoming self-hosted. However, I’m pretty much clueless as of how to do so. Any tips? (ps-I’m a college student and need the cheapest way possible :) ).

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Peace and Love,

Molly

  1. Yum – I love oatmeal with peanut butter and chocolate chips! Good luck working on speed – I will be starting to train for my next half marathon soon too with the same goal in mind!

  2. I use squarespace as my domain and host and they are awesome. I have never thought to put peanut butter in my oatmeal, but now I’m going to have to try that. It looks delectable. Hope your week is going great so far. And congrats on your 4th 1/2. That’s amazing.
