Brothers, Banana Pancakes, and Baking

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a marvelous weekend.

Rewinding to Friday night, I went to see the Jonas Brothers with Layna.get-attachment.aspx We had lawn seats for the show and I have to admit, we laughed pretty hard when we saw how empty it was.get-attachment.aspx

I remember the first time I saw them at the same venue, it was packed. Even so, it ended up being an amazing show. I forgot how good they are live. Oh, and right when they started, Joe and Kevin entered through the pavilion, and Joe ended up walking right past us. joe

The security guard got right in front of him when I was trying to take a picture, but it was still pretty neat to see him so close up.

Every time I go to Klipsch Music Center (where the concert was) I have to get Ritter’s. Since there are no Ritter’s around us anymore, it’s a special treat I can usually only get when we go back to Michigan since they still have one there.get-attachment.aspx

Fast-forward to Saturday, and after sleeping in and having my favorite breakfast, I headed to the park for a run. I ended up doing a 10k (6.2 miles), and while it was hot, it still felt great to be running again.

I spent the afternoon lounging in my neighbor’s pool, baking,get-attachment.aspx

zucchini bread

and then had a dinner of sushi takeout with a side of House Hunters.

do you like my compression sleeve tan lines? ;)

Sunday these happened,bananapancakes

kodiak cakes with banana slices and chocolate chips topped with banana cream sauce

Followed by grocery shopping and meal prepping. Exciting stuff, I know.

I was scheduled to work at Justice for floorset from 3pm-11pm (but ended up getting off at 9, woohoo!), so that’s how the rest of my evening was spent. I was in charge of the music we listened to, so at least we got to listen to my favorite person ;)

In other news, I’m so terribly saddened about the passing of Cory Monteith. I was such a big fan of his on Glee. I won’t ever be able to watch the show the same way again.

Enjoy your Monday and hug your loved ones tight<3

Peace and Love,

Molly

  1. I just bought my first box of Kodiak cakes this weekend and I can’t wait to try them. Isn’t it funny how the Jonas Brothers’ popularity has dipped? I saw them in middle school and the venue was packed. Also, how great is House Hunters? I’ve recently become prettty obsessed. Have a great Monday!

  2. I was pretty upset to hear about Cory too. I loved his duet with Lea Michele of Don’t Stop Believing. It gave me goosebumps. At first I didn’t believe it and thought it was just one of those made-up stories but then when I saw it on the news I was just shocked.

Great title for this post :) I actually didn’t know that the Jonas Brothers were still performing together. I thought that they had gone off their separate ways, but I always like their music. The looks on those girls’ faces behind the gates are priceless though. They are so excited. Haha.

  3. I’m glad you had fun at the concert! You both looked adorable.
I can’t believe I’ve never tried Kodiak cakes. I eye the box every time I’m at target but it just seems too easy (and good) to be true. I’m definitely going to pick up a box next time though. (:
