A sunny escape.

Last week I hopped on an airplane with my parents and sister and we headed west to Arizona. I’d been looking forward to this vacation since the day we started planning it. This has been, by far, the longest and hardest winter I’ve ever been through. I almost forgot what it’s like to see and feel the sun. Thankfully, Arizona was nothing but sunny :)

We spent 6 days in Arizona, our first three in Phoenix. I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves.get-attachment.aspx get-attachment.aspx get-attachment.aspx get-attachment.aspx get-attachment.aspx

We then headed north to Sedona. get-attachment.aspx get-attachment.aspx get-attachment.aspx get-attachment.aspx get-attachment.aspx get-attachment.aspx

We spent our last full day going even further north to visit the Grand Canyon.get-attachment.aspx get-attachment.aspx get-attachment.aspx

The pictures really don’t do it justice. It’s hard to believe how wide and deep it really is.

All in all it was a wonderful escape from reality Indiana. I wasn’t ready to go home when it was time to leave. The only thing I missed was my cat ;) Thanks to Emily for watching him!

Hopefully it won’t be too much longer before we see some sunny, warmer weather here in the midwest.

  1. It seems like everyone is visiting Arizona for Spring Break. I just moved to Scottsdale not too long ago, and it’s funny to think of my new home as a destination spot. The weather is pretty spectacular though, so I can’t blame anyone for wanting to visit. ;) Sounds like you had an awesome trip!

  2. So I definitely wish I would’ve hid in your suitcase. AZ looks beautiful! Glad you had a great time! I agree.. this has not been a very nice winter!

  3. Love this post Molly! We’ve hiked around that church in the rocks and it’s breathtaking. I just love Sedona. They have this little coffee shop there that makes designs in your lattes – swoon ;)
